about

This features Ted Hughes reading some lines from Eliot’s ‘The Wasteland’ – not used in any clever formal way, but just some evocative lines about the River Thames and office work which had a particular resonance with me at the time this piece was written.

The music comes from a number of different ways of colouring and sequencing a chord progression from Rameau’s opera ‘Hippolyte & Aricie’ which I had also used for a track on the Regular music album.
